Queer As Folk (2022) Pilot: Righteously Railed

Happy Wine Wednesday!  Stacey AKA Sticky Keys makes her triumphant return to the podcast this week to discuss the pilot episode of the Paramount reboot of Queer As Folk.

After sharing our respective histories with the Queer As Folk franchise, Stacey and I discuss the writers' choice to pull from the Pulse nightclub tragedy for the series opening.  Once we unpack our feelings about that, we then get into the rest of the pilot.  We talk about the very bold opening scene and New Orleans as the location for series.  We also discuss character introductions and  play a game in which Stacey tells me if my character arc predictions are hot or cold.  Following that, we get into standout performances, thirsty thoughts, and Stacey shares her thoughts on how this version of Queer As Folk stacks up against its predecessors.
