Welcome to the I'ma Need More Wine Podcast created by Kristine and Jocelyn! The podcast is now hosted by Jocelyn who is an attorney by day who gets together biweekly with her friends/special guest hosts to unpack and applaud the things we like and serve up a big WTF to things we don’t like - all while enjoying a good bottle of wine. Grab your wine and join the pop culture discussion centering mostly on television series, although there is the occasional exploration of documentaries and film. We drink, we know things, we use adult language, and we have a really good time.

Happy Wine Wednesday! Special guest Candi returns to the podcast this week to discuss the delightful ABC sitcom, Abbott Elementary. The main discussion focuses on episodes 1 and 2. For those of you who like nice things and have watched the entire season, we have a spoiler section at the end where we discuss highlights from the entire season.
We kick off the discussion by sharing what drew us to the show. After a recap of episodes 1 and 2, we break down the pilot and share our thoughts on the show's premise and how well the pilot did at introducing us to this fun cast of characters at this fictional West Philadelphia school. Next, we discuss episode 2 and then share whether there was anything we did not like about our introduction to Abbott Elementary.
As we did with Grand Crew, we talk about which characters we identify with from the Abbott Elementary cast and which ones we'd like to take a piece from and incorporate into our lives. We talk about what separates Abbott Elementary from other workplace sitcoms and share some of our favorite entries from the genre. We also talk about Abbott Elementary's mockumentary style and touch on other school-based shows that we enjoyed.
We share our favorite Abbott Elementary teacher, standout characters, and favorite Philly moments from the show. Of course we would never let an episode go by without getting a little thirsty, so we share which Abbott Elementary character we'd like to get some private lessons from.
We truly believe in this show and want to encourage you to watch it. In fact, Candi is so passionate about the show that she shares a rap she wrote about why you need Abbott Elementary in your life. A very fun podcast first!
